Jokes / Comments on Win 10 lock screen

Hi

Maybe I've just ignored it up to now but my lock screen has all these irritating comments / jokes that pop up when I open my laptop.

Have they always been there and how can I turn them off without losing the automatically changing images?

All the cortana stuff is already disabled and I haven't had the anniversary update yet.

I'm sure you can all appreciate this is causing me huge emotional stress and I thank you for helping me in my time of need.

On further inspection these little comments are all links to search terms in Bing.

Please make them go away

Don't use bing lol. I never get them and iirc, there were added to the last build release. Disable Cortana, it's about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike or a chocolate fireguard.

Me neither, but if you click on them it will then open bing search in edge after you unlock.

The anniversary update has just appeared, maybe that will get rid of them.

Goto settings--> Personalisation--> Lock screen, then turn off "Get fun facts and tricks on the lock screen".

Ahh that option only appears when you choose something other than windows spotlight.
