Jollof rice

cooked some of this for the first time Saturday. blooming delicious. very popular in Africa i believe.
followed a BBC recipe and would highly recommend.

Sounds nice I'll give it a go, i have thyme growing in the herb garden but never know what to cook with it.

Lovely African woman near me who runs a stall sells the most amazing Jollof rice. Always smiling and happy she is.

I wouldn't use fresh thyme in jollof. Dried is the norm, and replacing it with fresh would give a very different flavour, IMO.

thanks i wouldnt use it fresh, i have some hanging up to dry atm.

Their only similarity is that they are both made up of rice. Nando's rice makes me think of golden vegetable rice.
