Jolt - Kate Beckinsale does John Wick (kind of) - July 2021

Hi All,

Kate Beckinsale stars alongside a fairly decent A-list cast in what looks to be a kind of John Wick-ish style film from Amazon.

I really like Kate so I'll be watching this regardless of how good/bad it looks but I'm starting to get a little weary of the constant "The look/style of John Wick" knock-off's being pumped out of Hollywood.

Now there's a little more info, here's the synopsis -

"A bouncer with a slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest she uses to shock herself back to normalcy whenever she gets homicidal. After the first guy she's ever fallen for is murdered, she goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer while the cops pursue her as their chief suspect."

Soooooooo now we have more info, yeah still John Wick-ish in visual style and storyline

Well having watched it now I still think there is "Wick-ness" in the visual style, fight chorography and some of the story aspects too but overall it's still crap, even Beckinsale can't help this turkey rise above mediocrity.
