Jonsbo N3

Asked Jonsbo about this recently and they said they expect it to hit the UK market in October. Looks like a really nice iteration of the N series.
Thanks Slogan! Planning a NAS/Home server and really torn between the N2 & N3 - Might hold off for a bit and see what the reviews say for the N3 (And price, of course)

I really wish this supported an MATX motherboard. Can't think of any ITX boards that have 8 Sata ports

Very few and far between and not really present on consumer chipsets.

I think most people buying this case will be doing so exclusively for the NAS element of it, so they'll likely add additional SATA ports via a PCIe card. Have also seen M.2 boards that have SATA ports on them which could be an option if you wanted to retain the PCIe slot for graphics but not sure of their reliability.

Reviews starting to come in for these now. The choice of dual 3-pin 100m fans for the rear is a very strange decision.

I have one of these on the way, hopefully should be here in a few days. I was gutted about this too, as noticed after the order, but i saw a Chinese review video on YouTube the other day and when flicking through it and it seems they fitted noctua 92mm nf a9 in there place. Video description confirmed this too.

I have one of these fans spare atm so will try it and if indeed it does fit will order another one and fit them both instead.

Hadn't actually thought of going down to 92mm again but suppose it could be done through an adapter, if it isn't supported natively.

Very strange decision all the same but that would soften the blow somewhat. Let us know how you get on with it.

Hey slogan,

The case arrived today and just finishing up putting it together. Happy to report that the noctua nh a9 92mm fans fit perfectly in place of the 100mm jonsbo ones. Also the 80mm nf a8 fit the top fans too for the motherboard area fans.

Case is pretty awesome on first impressions, although you need some sort of fan splitter to accommodate 4 fans on a m-itix board. Same goes for sata if you want to populate 8 bays.

Hey slogan,

Thanks for the photos :) Making the hole spacing on the 100mm fans the same size as the 92mm ones is a bit more logical, so I suppose my original critique isn't as valid anymore.

I really love the form factor on this. I've began to transition to SSD storage now so it's maybe not the most space efficient choice but definitely looks a worthy successor to the N2 for the extra bays and additional CPU cooler height.

I'm going to be using this case for a Truenas build. I've bought the MSI z790i Edge Wifi motherboard, as it has a rear m2 slot which I'll use for a 10G ethernet to m2 network adapter and then use the PCIE slot for a Mini-SAS card to hook up the 8 HDDs. I can then use the Dual M2 slots on the front of the motherboard for a mirrored SSD pool. The OS will be installed on a 2.5" SSD.

CPU is complete overkill with a i7 13700, and I'll cool it with a NH-U9s. Will replace the bottom fans with NF-A9s (Thanks @Cookie12) and install NF-A8s in the top. All Chromax, as I still want it to look nice. :)
64GB of DDR5 6000Mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM.

Built this over the weekend and it went quite well. There's easily enough space under the motherboard tray for the M.2 to 10G Ethernet adapter and it's heatsink, which freed up the PCIE slot for the 8087 SAS/Sata card.
