Joomla (Poll Module)

Hi guys,

I have the latest Joomla installed and unfortuantely we accidently deleted the inbuilt poll module. Therefore we installed PollXT and another popular one, however, after successful installation, we can't actually see it on the website. I selected the position of the component to left under syndicate, and all I get is just the word "Poll" (even after adding questions and answers to the poll and playing around with it for hours. I tried installing the the orginal poll component from the joomla (com_poll) however it doesn't actually install (even when it does say install).

Any help will be appreciated as I've spent hours trying to fix it.

I can send you the files for the module if you like, I guess you would just add them in the normal way you add any other module?!? Send me an email to (removed by themad2) and I'll zip up the module and send it over

Well I added the module and the component, but its not listed under the component list.

How about save your configuration files and overwrite the installation? If you're going to do this I would make a backup first.

Hmm right I installed it fine, however am still getting the same problem of not seeing Poll under the component list. A poll which I created awhile ago is up and works, however I can't edit it (considering the settings are not available under the component list).

hmmm bit stumped then mate :confused:

I would probably backup your database and files on FTP, then re install your joomla files to the originals. Might be a good idea just to mention this on the Joomla forums first to see if they have any last ideas.
