I've just come back to playing around in Joomla after the weekend celebrating A-Level results, and I'm still stuck with the Breadcrumbs.
Following on from this thread.
The site layout I'm after is:
With each box being a page. So the green pages are off of the red (top-level) pages. And the numbered articles are off of the green pages.
I've got that all working with content and menus, but I can't understand the breadcrumbs.
They're showing: Home >> Red 1
and then: Home >> Green 1
What I was wanting: Home >> Red 1 >> Green 1
The URLs are doing the same thing: http://www.MYSHINYSITE.co.uk/beta/green1.html not http://www.MYSHINYSITE.co.uk/beta/red1/green1.html
The "Show Section Name" and "Show Category Title" parameters correctly show it as being "Red 1 - Green 1".
"Main Menu" has links to all the Reds (and home) and is displayed at the top on all pages.
"Red 1 menu" has a link to Green 1 and is displayed on the left on Red 1 and Green 1.
"Red 2 menu" has links to Greens 2,3,4 and is displayed on on the left on Red 2 and Greens 2,3,4.
"Red 3 menu" has links to Greens 5,6,7 and is displayed on the left on Red 3 and Greens 5,6,7.
Ideas anyone? I know I'm a Joomla n00b and all, but I can't see where I've gone wrong.
EDIT: I reckon I've got it sorted. It was all to do with the "Parent Item" setting. (which the red menu's couldn't do), but aliasing them to another menu seems to have got it sorted.
