Xbox controllers are superior IMO. Both will work, though.

The Xbox controller is 'more' plug and play than the PS4 controller. However, I think it ultimately comes down to which one you prefer in your hand.

It depends what you are plugging the joypad in to... A Windows desktop? If so, then definitely the Xbox controller! Its plug and play and many games are already setup to work with them.
