Joystick problem

I've just thrown a paddy at my joystick cos I've been trying to get it to work for the last 4 nights with no luck
I've got a Saitek Cyborg Evo which worked fine up until a few months back when I changed my motherboard. Since the change if I leave the stick in the central (neutral) position on the screen it slews off and nose dives me into the ground.I've tried everything I can think of but nothings working. I did have a spell last week for a few nights where it seemed to have settled down but it's started doing it again and it's driving me batty. I can only assume it's something to do with this new board as it was fine before......someone help me please, before I break it completely

Sasso, that's exactly what I have. Thanks for that guys. Although I seem to have fixed it when I slammed it down on my desk a couple of times, then threw it across the room, then remembered the USB was still plugged in, unplugged that, then threw that too, lol! Seems a bit extreme but it worked this time. Think I'll try your way next time though!
