I stumbled across Cyborg Evo wireless for £20 less than the wired at the time so i got that. Great stick, had no problems whatsoever and its got enough buttons for everybody.
Sorry for thread highjack , im thinking of picking up FS2004 really cheap, and if i bought a evo joystick or whatever, would it automaticly bind to it, like i wouldnt have to configure loads of different stuff for thre joystick to get it working right?
i ordered the EVO and FSX Thanks guys the site i got it from had 23-24 5 star reviews as well... only one guy said it broke after 6 months be he was an IL42 nut so was probably giving it a right hammering not what i will be doing with FSX (unless i keep crashing then it might it the wall a few times )
Never buying a Saitek again due to drifting issues My recent stick (Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner) for £35 is excellent, which I am using for FSX. Has some nice features too such as the throttle is detachable and you can adjust stiffness on the stick itself with a rotary dial.
I really liked my old Thrustmaster Top Gun, felt really sturdy, with stiff rubber acting as the centre. Then, in a particularly hardcore bout of Xwing Alliance, it snapped!
Snapping your joystick, it's enough to make you cry......
Anyway, replaced with Cyborg Evo FF which I really like. I read somewhere the wireless version is a touch laggy in comparison to both wired versions.
@tomanders91: The Evo has software where you can load in wee text files as profiles, and can load them up using a tray icon. I know they used to make them for you from the Saitek website (I've one for IL2 Sturmovik), but maybe some of the flight sim forums have one for FSX
