Yes the thrustmaster is a excellent choice and a excellent price, go with that.

Other good sticks at this price level are Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Saitek Fly 5, I've tried a few joysticks at this price range and the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is by far the best.

I bought the Extreme 3D Pro last week to use with War Thunder and Eames is right, it's a great little joystick.

The base is substantial enough that it doesn't move about on the desk and compact enough to stash it out of the way when not in use.

The thrustmaster looks almost the same as the old Microsoft sidewinder pro 2 which was an epic joystick by all accounts. Buttons are all close to hand which is good.

Key thing for me is easy throttle control for flying choppers in battlefield and it looks to have that, might pick one up myself.
