Done a quick search of all forums, but found mostly rubbish on this subject - what the best usb based joystick on the market to use with say Battlefield 2 for example? My old trusty sidewinder is starting to play up. :(

From what I see over most forums.
Its split between two controllers.

Saitek Cyborg vs Logitech 3D Pro

Both come in a variety of flavours, with/without force feedback, wirelessness etc. I personally use a Cyborg Pro, I like the way It looks and managed to get one for a good price.
Other people prefer the logitech.

Both are good :)

Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar, out of stock though :( and I was going to get one early next week.

Unless you really cant stand keyboard & mouse in BF2, there is no real point in buying a decent joystick unless you are wanting to get into some flying simulation. (IL-2, Lock On, FS9, Xplane, Falcon4 etc)

There is no need really to spend £30 on just one game hoping it will make you a better pilot because chances are it wont. ;)

Cheers for replys, seems i have 3 options going from comments. WW1 & WW2 air combat sims i enjoy from time to time; hence now my Sidewinder has seen better days I'm now seeking for usb replacement.
