hi,

thinking of buying the Joytech XBox 360 Digital VGA Cable. I have a hercules prophet view 920 pro tft monitor (17"). Will i notice a decent increase in picture quality from my tv??

If its a non-HD tv then you would notice the difference and its quite a big difference.

But your monitor is not widesceen, so you will also notice big borders top and bottom.

It doesn't look as good as on widescreen HDTVs but I'm certain it will be better than on my standard widescreen non-HDTV (and non-flat! lol) TV. I'm still trying to figure out whether to use 1280x1024 normal or 1280x768 widescreen though. The first squashes it inwards from top and bottom while the latter stretches out. Unsurprising really to make up for the lower vertical.
 
ah nice.

So if i get this cable it will defo look a lot better than on my flatscreen sony trinitron?

How big is your trinitron? If its like a 30", i can see you going back to the trinitron tbh.
 
I used to run my 360 on the same monitor with the same cable. Apart from the games being a tad squashed it looked great! :)

You will have to use a dedicated splitter or try and get a cheap KVM.
