JPEG edit history- random question

not sure this is the right forum but i couldn't really work out which one it'd be relevant to. i've got a jpeg where the thumbnail shows something pretty different to the image, but being a thumbnail is quite small and i can't tell (the colours are different i can make out). does a jpeg store any sort of edit history? this is unlikely, i know. i'm just curious as to the changes. any way to reverse it?

99% sure it's a no but worth a shot.

Nope. The thumbnail may not have been updated but that's as good as you are going to get.

yeah, figured. i wouldn't have thought a jpeg to be that complex. s'just weird, i dunno why they would've changed the colours on people's clothing. oh well!
