Hi,
Not sure where to post this, anyway, I have just loaded Adobe elements 4 photoshop. When I now either view my Canon CD manual or browse some of the previously saved photos I find they are in PDF format NOT JPEG. Can someone explain 1. what is the main difference between these files and 2. Does it affect the file if resaved as a JPEG. The other query is my CD manual is opened by Elements4 NOt Adobe acrobat - how do I ensure adobe is the default read programme. Many thanks.

I dont understand either , there different formats altogether , PDF[document] -portable document format ,Jpeg[Picture]-Joint Picture Expert group. It'll be something thing to do with file asociations. You can disassociate any file from a particular program . Once done ,if you double click the file , the pop-up box give you a chice of what program to associate the file with.
My Computer-Tools-Folder Options-File Types-find the file in the list and OPEN WITH/change or you can delete and as said above . double click the file and choose from the list.
