JRPGs on consoles

That's in Persona 4 and that's not really quite true but hard to say without spoiling things.

Personas are basically Pokemon, some are weak to fire, some are weak to ice, some are strong against electricity...get it? There's nothing weird about it at all really.

You can forge new Personas by combining others, this is the result of a forging;

Oh okay! That actually makes it sound more interesting...as i love pokemon :p I may have to pick it up. May look into one for the PSX first though, as I've no longer got a PS2 :p

Persona 1 & 2 are nothing like 3 & 4 unfortunately, the 3rd game changed the formula a lot and 4 improved on it!


It's a great game. :D I bought a PS2 for it, no regrets! Gonna start new game+ soon. :)

Oh and my god, the soundtrack is amazing. You get most of it on a disc when you buy the game.

Its Shin megami tensei! I didnt realise, I've played the Digital Devil saga. that's good! So definatly need to look into this, i sold my PS2 about 2 weeks ago for 20 quid, as i didnt think i played it enough. Silly silly silly

Best game I've played in years tbh, I don't have a bad word to say about it. :D

Some of the stuff that happens is just hilarious, all the characters are great and the voice acting is superb which surprised me. It puts FFXIII to shame!

I cannot wait for Persona 5, hoping to hear more at TGS in 2 days. :D But it has been announced and since they are making Catherine on 360 and PS3, it's likely it'll be the first next-gen Persona. :cool:
 
Resonance of Fate (360 / ps3) has already been mentioned, but I would also add Valkyria Chronicles (ps3) - both turn based and both awesome :)
 
Thanks for all the suggestions, should keep me busy for a while! Now it's just a shame you can't download current gen games from the PSN/Live!
 
Any love for Eternal Sonata? Out on both PS3 and 360, PS3 has some stuff, cant recall what though. Not quite a JRPG but more of a strategy RPG but Valkiyra Chronicles is a must for fans of the genre.
 
The only thing I don't like about Persona 4, is that you can't grind due to the time limit stuff :(

You get more than enough time to just grind the only limit is how long you can go without running out of sp (mana) and even then you have items to restore that stuff.

I never had an issue with grinding, if I wanted to level up some more I had so much time to do it.
