os will be windows 7 :) if anyone would please help and if you have anyother suggestion for a diffrent graphics card? i want one about £80-£120 which is decent to run most new games top spec

Many thanks

ahh wicked :D thanks guys the only reason i have gone with that case and power suply is because thats what i currently have, but my computer at the moment is a bit outdated but wanted to cut costs a bit so i dont really need a new case is more my concern that everything would fit in :)

ahh wicked im so confused :( still though. I dont know wether to get amd or an intel i want something that if it goes out of date i can just replace certain parts

yeah intel seems to change the most i just want a computer thats going to last and stay current without spending to much im looking at about £400 ish for

Graphics card
Processor
Ram
Motherboard
PSU (looks like i need one as mines rubbish)

yeah i was looking at them intel seems to be way better but there expensive plus i want a fairly current motherboard so it wont grow old to quick.

so if i was to stick with my psu for a bit then change it a bit later? would i have any problems as its only 580w? im wont be planning on running 2 graphics cards either :)

ah sweet many thanks for your help guys im gonan take the best bits from what everyones suggested so this is what ive chosen hopfulyl it all works together, ill keep my current antec case and my 580w psu as there both okay and ill most probably upgrade the psu a bit later? maybe buy a 650w or 750w?

HIS ATI Radeon HD 6870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with DIRT3 & Deus Ex PC Games

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail

Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)

Asus M5A97 PRO AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard

i want a mother board that has 1 x Optical S/PDIF out and the surround sound 6 x Audio jack's and loads of usb ports 4 ram slots just in case, and fairly new i dont know much technical spec :(

if you look at the link to the hiper explosive club you'll see that changing your PSU now would be a very good idea. depending on how much you have to spend, i'd go for any of the following:
1 x OCZ Z-Series 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £94.99
1 x Antec TruePower New Modular 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £64.98
1 x Antec TruePower New Modular 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £59.99
1 x Lepa W-Series 500W '80 Plus' Power Supply £46.99

also, i didnt realise you already had the case + PSU. i would keep the case: it might not be as good as the raven, but its still half decent

for the motherboard if you are intent on going the AM3+ route, then i would take the Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 as it can do crossfire and SLI at speeds that wont bottleneck the card (x8/x8). however, if your going the intel route then the obvious choice is the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 for the same reasons as the AM3+ board, but also because it has all the goodies of the Z68 chipset.

for the RAM i really wouldnt take the vengance because its heatspreaders are very tall, and will get in the way of the majority of coolers. corsair XMS3, kingston and crucial are the best ones to go for, with Gskill ripjaw being kind of ok.

ahh i seee if i got the lepa w series would 500w be enough? yeah i woas thinking that about the ram, i do appriacite all this help :)

ah wicked :), i would like to go intel but they seem quite expensive. im just being a cheapskate i suppose so my antec 550w wil ldo for now and ill purchase a more reliable psu on a later date :)

to be fair plenty of people had hipers that didn't blow and if its not gone by now (and its been regularly used) would be suprised if it was going it.

if the budget allows for it to be updated for sli/xfire then fair enough, if not then i'd leave it until it can be.

i use my computer all the time at the moments its only a duel core amd atm with a cheap g card and 4gb ram, and it hasent blown up so i guess its a good one?

Wow thanks for all this help mate Really Appricitate it :), yeah i reckon im gonna go with the i3 as i would prefer a better mobo for better upgrade options. :)
