Sometimes my car judders when I pull away.

I thought it was the clutch on it's last legs as the car is now on almost 140k and I have no record of clutch change although it may of been changed by the original owner who owned the car up to 90k/3years from new. (This is just speculation as 140k seems mega miles for an original clutch?)

Now, I have noted that my rear engine mount, also called rear roll restrictor is worn out. I think this could be resulting in the juddering.

Has anybody changed one of these on a Mondeo, how much is the part? How easy is it.

From looking at the mount it doesn't actually support the engine, just restricts it's movement/cushions movement.

The judder is not always apparent. Which is why it's a little odd. Maybe once or twice every few days and I majoritively drive around town so lots of stop-start driving.

I am planning on getting a newer car this year but will most likely keep the Mk2 so am happy to fix it if the parts are relatively cheap.

Does it happen when the clutch is being released?

If the bottom engine mount it knackered its more likely to cause a knocking sound, instead of a juddering. What makes you think its worn out, is the bush knackered?

Gearbox or engine mount, however it could be a bad sensor making pulling away hard sometimes, dirty MAF?

Other than that the clutch could be fine but the clutch pressure plate could be on the way out, any metalic noises?

No metallic noises can be heard. Pretty sure it's not the MAF as it's not the engine which is struggling or juddering.

Visual inspection of the bush told me that it's completely had it. Really this thread was after confirmation that the two problems are likely related?

I took a pic of the mount:

my dads does this, its an L reg been all over the uk, original clutch so most likely the same thing wrong, he says the fix is to be a lot smoother with the clutch pedal and let it slip for a while longer!

when my mk2 mondeo clutch was knackered it make a grinding noise and slipped on hills, no judder though..
