I fancy reading a graphic novel on Judge Dredd, what would be a good place to start? isit worth just buying the complete case files from 1 onwards as i've heard they're a bit "meh" and more for nostalgia than for good reading, any suggestions?

thanks:cool:

I'd go with Vol3 onwards as you get stuff like Apocalypse War and City of the damned which are bloody good. Stand alone stuff like Batman vs Dredd is pretty good and Young Death is a must purchase:)

thanks for replying, so skipping vol 1 & 2 wont make any difference to understanding the storyline?

Not that i can think of, story arcs only started appearing around the time Death was introduced and i thing the Angel gang came after that although dont quote me on it, it's been MANY years since i read them:)

Judge Caligula is a great story, well worth a read.

It's years since I read any Dredd / 2000AD stuff, got bags full of progs from the early 80's - mid 90's stowed away in the attic.
