If cars are being stored why not remove the batteries from them?

They get a little drive once a week so i dont want to be removing batteries every time i go to use them.

That car has a 3 month old Bosche silver battery from Halfords, can i just take the dead battery back to Halfords?

Problem is that they probably won't replace it on the spot. I think the procedure is them taking the battery off of you and charging it themselves overnight and then checking it with their tester once it's fully charged.

Not really that much of an issue in this case but annoying if you have a battery that you know is on it's last legs but they won't replace it because the battery tester says it's okay .

Fear not, i shall give the manager one of my Paddington Bear stares and a stern talking to :)

I would have thought it would be worth while for you to buy a battery conditioner for each car and leave them plugged in when not in use this will keep the batteries charged and in good condition.

I have one of them, looks exactly the same execpt mines is yellow.

Works fine if its just slightly under, if its flat you can forget it.

Ok my barn is appox 8 minutes walk from this house.

The nearest power is 3 minutes walk or however many feet that is, so by the time i **** about, run power down there connect it up then do that times 3 i see it as the easier option to just give 100 quid for one of these.

This dosent happen often but last week i was unusually busy and the week before that i had a stinking cold, so they didnt get started for their usual little run and i forgot to turn on the gas heaters in the barn due to my woundedness so it got very cold in there hence flat battery.

I had a battery conditioner put on the Bentley, but that is near the house in the garages of which i only have 3 so no room for me Jags, you see :)

Now you made me type all that :D

would depend on the battery sizes on the cars and the jump pack, I know the one i have wont do a deisel range rover, another idea is to buy a set of jump leads as well, then you would only need to get one started;)
