Hi,

Changed my freeview box yesterday from a techwood (cheapy thing) to a phillips because I couldnt receive all the channels i.e. itv4, itv1, ch4 etc..

So now I can but the majority of my channels jump...

Has anyone experienced this?

If yes, how did you resolve it?

Please help / advise...

Thanks in advance..

Cheers

my aerial is an indoor hole in the wall thing, i rent you see so dont think I have a chance of changing the aerial grrrrr am im screwed?

will a signal booster fix it? where can i get one from? how much are they? are they easy to fix?

thanks for help so far

oh dear!!!

I thought that was a good one lol

ffs this freeview thing is a nightmare...

so which one do u recommend?

just had a look at the signal strength and quality on the channels which are slightly skipping...

signal strength = 60%
signal quality = 34%

do i need a signal booster?

pls help

thanks

p.s. on the non jumpy channels both strength and quality are near 98%

thanks guys...

when i went to the my local electrical store I had a good chat with an experienced guy who told me to try some fixes and volia it worked...

Although I did purchase the signal booster I havent had to use it so thats going straight back.

thanks for your help and advice peeps

well when i installed it I plugged the power in and connect my scart and aerial lead...

he suggested i disconnect it all and unplug from the mains for 10mins...

then replug the scart and aerial and then the power - so i did and voila it worked...

so far no jumpy channels...

today my box started jumping again, so i looked at the signal strength and quality, they went down to their mid 50's again, so I connected the booster and BINGO the signal went up to 95 - 99%...

so thanks for your help and advice, im glad i picked one up anyway

cheers
