I've had my current hotmail e-mail address for a good few years now and never had a problem with junk mail. In the last few weeks however i've started getting about 10 e-mails a day that are nothing but spam. I can only assume that my address has found its way onto some spam mailing list.

Is there anyway of being able to track down what list my address is on and try and get it removed?

Cheers.

P.S Wasn't entirely sure if this was the correct forum to use, apologies if it's not.

I think the short answer is no. The best thing you can do is use a junk mail filter.

The standard one in Outlook is okay, I set it to auto delete and hardly get anything now (but outlook assumes you are not logging on remotely).

hotmail's a bit of a spam magnet. I would think they guessed your address, and as it's not bounced back they assume it's good.

Once it starts, it can't be stopped. Filtering is the only option.

Whatever you do don't click on 'unsubscribe' if there is an option to do that.
You're just validating your address as a 'good' one.

In fact, you haven't just recently done this have you?
