I get about 10-15 junk emails a day getting into my inbox on hotmail with the filter on high which is mostly adult links .What do you average and any tips on reducing this amount .(would like to stick to hotmail)

Maybe a mod could poll the average daily amounts ;

0-1
2-4
5-10
11 -19
20 or more
 
Around 160 a day!

But they all go to the SPAM folder in GMAIL so I ignore them :p

Gmail's SPAM training system is pretty good, I only needed to mark the first batch ages ago as SPAM and now they all get into the spam folder.
 
Used to be 20 or more a day but the spam filter works most of the time so not really a big problem. I just have a look in the spam folder once a week or so and just move ones that are genuine. Not sure what you can do about it unless you make a new hotmail account if thats possible or not.
I tried a program called Mailwasher as it downloaded headers for you to look at and there was an option to bounce spam to give the impression your email address was non-existent. They used to say that spam systems test for existence of non-delivery, but then I dont really know if thats the case anymore or how effective it was to bounce, so just ended up changing altogether.
 
around 20 or more per day, same i have settings on high, its only recently got this bad.
EDIT: just opened email and i got 32 !!!
 
I just delete the domain name using Windows Live Mail Desktop (supports Hotmail, GMail, BTMail, Yahoo! and many others).

Now, I'm lucky if I get 1 spam e-mail a week.
 
ditch hotmail it's cack

use gmail, your emails get threaded together into conversations, which is awesome for keeping it tidy, and the spam filter is amazing, i get about 1 a week in my inbox, with hotmail i get about 20
