I think the ending was fine for me. It was like she couldn’t live with herself putting the wrong man behind bars. As once there was that little doubt, even though it was stupidly small chance in her mind, she still went out of her way to go investigate herself.
@Reuben klang
The dilemma was extended to her also, she had just become the AG and to tell the truth was the end of her career so the choice would have been extremely tough, but not doing the right thing would have eaten her and him alive
Only occured to me afterwards that in "about a boy" 2002 film, he was the boy and Toni Collette played his mum, anyone else remeber that?
Feel exactly the same, started off strong and just got weaker until it just fizzled outThought the cast was good. Good build up and tension and as @MadMossy mentioned what a situation.
Overall I thought
The last act lost direction. Great build up and tension and solid acting. But there wasn't really a pay off or conclusion.
After the novelty of the story they didn't really knew what to do with it. Whole premise was build towards the ramifications of the decision and inevitable collision of morality and justice.
The ending for me was a little cop out. Left too open ended to nail the landing and left me unsatisfied.
Overall 6/10. It was a little weak in a few areas imo but overall shot well and was enjoyable enough.
