hello,

Question 1,
i have the sapphire hd 5850 and in the options you can higher or lower the fan speed at the mo mine is at 50%, could/would if i higher it to 75-100% could it damage my card?. i dont care about the noise.

question 2,
I have Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler with the fan is set to blow in cool air on the grill, i've just another venom fan, should i set the new fan to blow in or extract? but this fan will only be 5cm away from the extracting fan at the back of thr case or will it be trial n error

Nope you can run the fan fine at full speed for the GPU.

Have a go with the push method and see how your temps fair.

.. would you recommend overclocking the gfx on air or not?.
I will also report back about what work best with the cooling.

^^ HD5850 will have games flying, only if you got big resolution maybe won't ... try gaming without OC,..then see how it goes, I still game on HD4890 1920x1080 resolution, and all games I play are maxed, no needs for OC here!

I can't play 1080 I can only play at 1440x 990 (or something like that) I play all my games max out with a really good fps but if I can get a little more I would like to try

uuuhh... your GPU is huge OTT for such resolution!

Don't even bother to OC, I'd upgrade monitor for 1920x1080/ 1920x1200

With the cpu fan question, installed so it pull air in , run prime95 for 10mins got temps of 65'c so i put the fan push air away and run prime95 for 10mins and got temps of 57'c, so it will be staying like that now

until I get the h70 and put the venom fans on it

What are the h70 like with a overclocked i5 760 @ 4ghz?.
