:( x 1000000

Grrrrr *roar* So there I am parking up so I dont have to go back up and down the drive way when someone wants to move their car out and because its so tight. About to park it and BAM curbed my wheel, my new precious wheel :( he isnt cheap either :( tyre has a nasty mark will have to check it in morning and the damage on the rim = :(

Gonna cough up £30-40 to get it looking new again. Someone tell me theyve suffered too!!!!! :(

I feel for you mate, I did mine too last week, until then all my wheels were perfect on the car and untouched.

It isn't too bad but I will get it looked at eventually but hardly noticable, still though it is annoying as I know it is there even if other people don't....I was really mad at myself as well....that will teach me to get cocky and get close to the curb when parking.

Stu

Apparently this guy can make it brand new..I will always know I curbed it though :(

Feel for you Fire its a really downer man :(

the first curb is the worst, you wont mind it happening again now :]
Agreed. This is the reason I wouldnt bother getting curbed alloys repaired... you'll feel even worse if it happens again.

Over 70k miles of driving, I can honestly say I have never curbed an alloy. I suppose some people have it, most people dont!

Depends if the 70k is covered mostly doing motorway driving, or doing short journeys that require you to park in tight spots against the curb :D

Just checked the damage, nice shiney rims then the front left has about a 3" long scrape, the tyres fine but damn it looks nasty.

I remember when I got forced off a road by a truck once. Luckily it wasn't at speed, but even so the resulting crunch wasn't a nice sound. My mate says 'Don't worry, those Eagle F1 curb protectors should have helped that".

6" gash on one side of my new Super Ts. I was not happy...

Still, gave me an excuse to get them powercoated black :P

I've got marks all over my Alloy wheels. The fronts are worse, as I've curbed them a few times. Where i work, I end up parking next to high curbs nearly every day.

The rears are almost free of marks, but the fronts, one of them is almost so bad now I'd better get it looked at. I was quoted £90 to refurbish a alloy wheel as mine are lacquered alloy. Shame really, but sometimes can't be helped.

Brake dust is also just as bad... LOL I've got lots of that on my fronts. Try washing if off... ;-)

I've curbed mine loads of times!... the bonus of having large profile tyres is you just scuff the tyre and no damage to the wheel!... I love my 4x4...

Though I did do it to my Cooper once Very Low Profiles on 12" (original) minilites Mahoosive Scratch allllll the way round the rim!... Got forced of the road 'Big time' by some boy racer in an XR3(not i) got his number though Got him done for Dangerous Driving!... :D

i remember telling the wife to be very careful when parking the focus after putting super t's on, 30 mins later i scraped the front passenger side along a curb :/

My wife wiped out both alloys on the passenger side of the Si i had, 3 days after i forked out £600 for them.

After i had throttled her to death, wrapped her in a bit of carpet and dumped her in a lay by, i took the wheels to wheelrites in gosberton near spalding, who restored them to as new condition for £40 per rim.
