Hello,
I run a community and we do a lot of streaming of competitive games on Dota2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive, my pc build is a bit dated now so I was looking for what the best CPUs are for streaming, preferably AMD not intel

Regards

If you want AMD then the FX8320 would be the best value for money. It's essentially the same chip as the FX8350 but at a slightly lower clock rate. Over-clock the 8320 (an aftermarket cooler is obviously essential) and you'll have a decent CPU for streaming.

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £99.95
Total : £108.65 (includes shipping : £7.25).

What are you current specs at the moment?

You mentioned your build is a bit dated...just thought to let you know that the state of affair for performance of AMD is not the same as the Athlon 64 glory days. I'm not saying you shouldn't get an AMD CPU, but you should really do a bit of reading around and choose the most appropriate CPU build, regardless of it being AMD or Intel.

this is a polite way of saying Intel are typically better these days, which is true as it happens

(not a fanboy, also switched to AMD back when it made sense)
