Just A Couple Of Quick Questions :)

Hiya

Got a couple of questions regarding a new build that's up and running

After turning on power I'm getting a CPU Fan error and being asked to enter bios .... I don't have a fan i have the Corsair Hydro H100i ... Temps are normal even while gaming .... Do i have to tell the Bios about the Corsair Hydro H100i ?

My second question is regarding my ssd drive .... A few seconds After logging on to win 8 ..I get a windows pop up asking me if i want to let the ssd have permissions .....Do i have do do some thing to tell it it has perms ?

Nether of these thing's are that mind blowing ... But i would like to put a stop to them

There will be a fan header marked CPU_FAN or something like that on your motherboard. On mine it's above and a bit to the right of the CPU socket. The h100i has a 3-pin connector (on the same wire as the SATA power connector) that plugs in there. I'd imagine that will solve the first issue if you haven't plugged it in there.

Not sure on the permissions bit(what are the exact messages) but with the h100i you need to plug in pump cable(that's the fan header cable that's on the CPU block you fit on the CPU socket on the motherboard) into the CPU fan header on the motherboard.

Ok i will check that in the morning

....I seem to remember not having anywhere to plug it in at the time i put it all together .... It all seemed to work well without it ... so i just left it hahah ....I see now what it dose so i will have a better look tomorrow |
