Hello again guys!

I was just wondering about a few things:

What is the real advantages of 1600MHz RAM over 1333MHz?

Also i heard the latencies are higher on the 1600MHz usually, does this really effect it? If so does that mean 1333MHz is better? (Mainly for gaming)

And an example of a good set of latency for RAM?

And finally, when building a PC, to ground yourself i heard you touch the exposed metal of the case, but i see most cases now are all black painted, so do you still get grounded from touching the case then?

Danke!

Firstly, 1600mhz over 1333mhz is hardly noticable in gaming, maybe an extra frame or so, but in overclocking, the extra mhz available will give a better OC than the 1333mhz.

Get a lower latency. Lower the latency, the faster the RAM and CPU and interact and work out calculations quicker. A good latency would be 7-7-7-20 @ 1.9 volts.

And to the question about grounding yourself so you don't get shocked. One way to stop this is to install spacers underneath the motherboard. Don't just screw the motherboard into the case, screw spacers in first, then screw the motherboard into them. This will stop the motherboard touching the metal of the case, decreasing the chance of an electrical discharge. Also, just because a case is painted black or any other colour won't really stop an electrical discharge/shock.

What you can do is get a wrist band that plugs into the top slot of a plug socket which is the earth cable. So if you do get shocked, it goes straight to the plug and not via you to the floor. So your earthed. xD

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that! :D

So how about if i touched the inside of my sockets instead? (with them off ofc)
