hi i am new to this overclocking and could do with a couple of tips and pointers off you guys, i have an AMD llx4 955BE 3.2GHz on a M4A79T deluxe motherboard with a corsair H50-1 CUP cooler, i am looking to get it to 3.8GHz to 4.0GHz stable, at the moment i am using AMD overdrive and have got it to 3.6GHz stable i think, I have used OCCT and AMD overdrive to monitor temperatures and inletburn test v2.4 for the stress test and CPU-Z, i think the temperatures are ok, the screen shots are below of temp of pc idle and of last run of intelburn test. Are there any other programs that would be better for this or are these ok?
your input and advice will be much appreciated, hope the images work

You can change the sizes of the images yourself, and edit your post to change them.

Also, you should edit a post rather than add another one just to say something like that.

As for your actual post, Your vCore can get up higher if you have a decent cooler. I'm running an X3 720 at 1.47v, so you've got space to go higher. Those temps are also good. I'd suggest putting your vCore up to around 1.425, and try for a multiplier of one higher, to get you 3.8Ghz.

See how that goes in IBT.

When I Overclock, I use the BIOS, and Prime95, along with Speedfan for temp monitoring. AMD Overdrive didn't work so well for me on an old board, because it wouldn't let me set it at boot. You also have a potential problem that if your overclock won't get into windows, that AOD won't be able to set the voltages higher. Good luck with this!
