(?) Just a question?

1 blu-ray disk would be 50 gigabytes
1 movie on it would last 1 hours and take up the entire disk (on the safe side)

This would mean there would be 1 hour available to transmit 50 gig worth of data....

6 Gb/s stands for 6 Gigabits per sec. so 6/8 = 0.75 Gigabytes per sec.

There are 3600 seconds in an hour so an hour of transmitting data at a 6Gb/s rate would be worth 0.75 times 3600 = 2700 Gigabytes, or about 2.6 Terrabyte of data.

That's about 54 times as much as needed

Standard sata (sata 1) at 1.5 Gb/s is already more then enough.
