Hi guys,

hope you are having a great sunday!

Started my long awaited purchase of parts for my first pc build..

Just wanted to do a final final final check on my gaming pc (1900x1080) ;-)

CASE: Antec 902 (purchased)
PSU: Corsair 850hx (purchased)
HD: Western digital caviar 640g (purchased)

CPU: Phenom 955be
GPU: Sapphire 5850
COOLING: Zalman 9900
MOBO: Msi fx gd70
OP: Windows 7 (on the way)
Screen: Asus Vh226h
DRIVE: LG GH22LP20 22x DVD±RW IDE
RAM: G skill ripjaw c7 2x2 ddr 3 1600mhz

I know there will be some i5 suggestions but I really am fixed on the 955be for a number of reasons. With regards to the psu - I know it may be 100w too much but I'd rather pay the extra £10 and be safe than sorry (will go xfire later on).


Any thoughts opinions would be great.

But takes lots more leccy from the plug and runs hotter... ?? its only clocked .2ghz higher than the 955 and I plan to overclock it to around 3.6/8 hopefully - enough for me and the games I want to play.

Just heard soooo many good things about the drive and as Kenny says its 32mb cache. The guys on toms hardware love it - new egg reviewers also look good.

My take is when it comes to hard drives they don't make too much difference between them and are much of a muchness, although that said I think the wd cav is ace.

I also forgot to add my ram in my original post!!

I have been looking at the g skill ripjaw which looks good..

will be going for ddr3 2x2... any suggestions which one is best.??
