Well, i went to send some cash to someone on my mobile, and thought i was sending it PPG, i was told they were charged, so it musnt have gone through correctly, it annoyed me a bit as although it was only a few pence that they had to pay, they still had to pay it!

As im now on my PC ive looked into why it didnt send properly and if you, like me, were in a rush its an easy mistake to make!

thought id do a VERY quick video into what i did and why it messed up so you dont make the same mistake :P

On my phone i couldnt click the drop down box links, only the "transfer" button, and then it comes up with "send someone money..." which is what i wanted to do, it says underneath the link that if you want to pay for an item or service, to "buy" which is linked.

once you click the link though, it takes you straight to the pay for services bit without going to the send money to a person bit, that is now underneath

have 55 seconds of video to show you what i mean:

http://youtu.be/EJ4rvFXt4z4 <--- run it in full screen and at full settings, and you can actually see what im doing :P

Ive never seen this new wallet thing, ive always had the usual screen show up, so its been a bit of a pain. on a PC its obvious as to why it didnt work, but on my phone whilst i was walking to work, its an easy mistake to make, i know its a pretty pointless post, and its due to me not reading everything. but thought it might save someone from needing to pay the fees.

if you do it from the dropdown menu, it seems to take you straight to the send someone money bit ;)

Paypal really should just have a big "pay fees for this payment" option for all payment methods. Almost all the use of Paypals gift feature are just payments for services or goods trying to avoid the fees and thus in violation of PayPals terms and conditions.

if the fees werent so expensive, i would pay them.

*edit*

well, not so much expensive, but just the way they do it annyos me, i think its 3% on everything?

aye, i just find this new wallet system to be silly too, i dont think its by mistake that they swap the options around a bit, it earns them some extra pennies!

Starts at 3.4% of total amount plus 20p per transaction.

I wouldn't mind paying it if they didn't just automatically side with the buyer and screw the seller over all the time.
