Some cards used to allow you too unlock pipes that had been locked by the manufacturer during the processing stage effectively giving you a more powerful card for nothing.
Since the 8800GTX and 8800GTS both use the same G80 core would it be safe to assume that their are going to be a number of GTS cards out there that during the process were deemed to have to many flawed stream processors to be labelled GTX cards?
You think it may be possible to unlock extra stream processors that were disabled during the manufacturing process?
