Just about to click buy, what do you think?

This is something i've been battling with. I know I can get more power for less money with a desktop but in my job I move around quite a bit and I'm forever going away on various courses. Its the mobility that I like and the fact it can come anywhere with me.

don't know why people keep asking why not a desktop ....
If some one want a laptop just live with it ....most of us that are considering laptops can't get a desktop any more (like I am, I will be evicted from my gaming liar)

When it comes to selection. What kind of games are you thinking of playing? Maybe Stealth will do which is much more portable and has a descent GPU :)

Agreed on the laptop/desktop questioning. I will be playing some pretty demanding games at times. BF4 and The Witcher 3 when it's released to name a couple. At the minute I'm hooked on diablo 3 at the minute which isn't demanding but I can't wait for it to look good finally lol.

Portability is good but latest GPU and better cooling is key I think. It's probably one of the best laptops you can get with a single GPU at the minute.

Agree.
I was wondering only why in the top end they did not go with dual fan solution.....

I thought the same at first, especially with the G750 group of gaming laptops as competition. Now it doesn't worry me so much, the MSI has upgraded their cooling and I have a notebook cooler. If I need to reapply thermal paste it's so much easier on the MSI than on the Asus G750.

The thinner it is, the less space for cooling. If the main concern is gaming I would opt for the extra couple centimetres every time. :)

Have you thought about lowering the spec and saving a ton for not that much difference?

You could get something with an 870M, and get rid of the utterly pointless epeen RAID SSD's and reduce the overall spend by quite a margin. Probably save £450-650, that could go towards a new laptop in 18 months, or you could have I dunno say a 4 day holiday in New York?

Just a thought, I've wasted so much money buying that extra 10-15% of power and to be honest, it really wasn't worth it. :)

I was thinking about it.
Even was considering ApachePro with Maxwell 860 but then ...what if came along :(
Something else you think Clevo? I like the look of those MSI and from few reviews seems like they are quite good whereas the look of Clevo is hmm duller for me :)
And 860m will get lower score then my current PC - 870 will get 20% more ...so that as well especially when this laptop will have to last for donkey years probably
