I'm just about to order this, it says might be up to 10 days till it arrives, is this accurate? i.e. has anyone else ordered recently and waited longer? Any tips on fine-tuning etc would be appreciated..

Thanks

I placed an order for a rig on the 1st February and it still sitting at "Order recieved - not yet shipped", mine may just have been bumped down the queue for whatever reason but it appears that the current wait time is longer than 10 (business) days.

I'm suspecting that the fact that many of the newer parts recently came back into stock (nvidia 30 series and ryzen 5000 series) might mean that the pre orders they had for rigs with those parts have been moved up in the queue, which does make sense, but is none the less frustrating when on the order page it said to expect 8-10 working days. Originally I also assumed that the 8-10 working days was for the rig to be delivered, but when I enquired and got the 10-15 working days reply it was also specified that this was actually the build time and not the expected delivery frame.
Overall I find the lack of transparency a disappointment, it would be nice if they on the front page had something suggesting how busy they were, putting a disclaimer that says that: " Longer during busy periods." is kinda useless without any suggestion of whether or not they are in a busy period. On the front page they do have their Covid-19 status indicator and pre-order indicator, it seems like adding a 3rd indicator regarding their current back log would be a simple thing to do.

Ordered a custom build on 27th Jan, delivered 12th Feb, only issue was psu not being in stock and that was quickly solved by customer services who upgraded it free of charge. This was with a 3070 as well.

Just a small update, I did get a final build date confirmed for the 22nd February, so effectively on the 15th business day, for reference all the items for the build I ordered were in stock when I ordered the rig. Final delivery date is not yet confirmed.
As I mentioned in my post above this is a bit of a disappointment as I do find their delivery time on the individual builds a bit misleading and more transparency would be a step up.

Yay....

that system is far too expenisve...£1600 for a 3070 you are basically paying over £1000 for that GPU...

Yeah have done but thought it might be useful for other people thinking of ordering a system to see what it's like after you hit 'confirm'.....
Tbh, unless you are getting dell, Lenovo, HP, you are going to get this sort of customer services from prebuilds.

it comes with the territory.

some other outfitters are probably more polished than OCUK. Then again OCUK got to keep its reputation :-)

Holy hell is that the price of pre builds now? Jesus... And that's with only a 3060ti? Cheapo psu and case, small ssd?

Holy moly. And someone said it was a good idea to get a pre build to take the gpu out and sell. In this case you'd basically be paying like £1100 for a £370 card. Wowzers...
