Just about to order my upgrade, does it look ok? Have i missed anything off?

Should i have gone for the Gigabyte mobo or is the Asus better?

I hope the mobo comes with 2x SATA cables for HDD and DVDRW ??

Mobo: Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 245 2.90

RAM: OCZ Gold Low Voltage 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM

Cheers!

Looks good. Out of interest, what will you be using it for and what do you already have?

You may want to consider going for some RAM like this. I hear that AM3 systems perform better with low latency RAM than high frequency stuff.

As for SATA cables, looking at this it seems the motherboard comes with 4 SATA cables :).

Just an everyday internet PC. Not looking to play games.

And i have an old P4 machine (SLLOOWWWW) :D

I will be running Win 7 Ultimate 32bit.

Sounds great, should be an excellent upgrade then. I assume you already have a decent PSU and a case to use with it. If so, then you will be away.

Best of luck.

Yeah i bought a coolmaster case and 500w Artic cooling PSU the other week. Also going to use a SATA DVDRW (Samsung)
