don't need the aftermarket gpu cooler. the reference cooler is good lol

Temps sit around high 70's - 80c while gaming. That's a little too hot for me personally.

What about CPU cooler? will that fit?

I'm using a CoolerMaster Hyper Evo TX3. I cant see that not fitting. Its only around 140mm i think.

So do we think it will fit in there?
case specs:
- Dimensions: 200 x 445 x 432 mm (W x H x D)
Cooler specs:
Dimensions: 257.1 x 47.1 x 146 mm (W x H x D)

So in theory it should fit right?
Assuming I'm reading those right

£70 for a GPU heatsink? Oh lawd, you'd be better putting that towards getting a watercooling set up.

That aside, the card should be fine running at the temps it does, and core temp doesn't equate to heat output.

I also hate high temps with my GPU and also my CPU...but for the GPU I use EVGA PrecisionX and make a fan curve , so my 290 at idle sits around 39c and under load ( BF4) it never goes over 68c

But as Tamzzy has said..that case is not so good for air flow ..and to me looks just like the NZXT H440 which is another case with not so good air flow .

It will fit, but a bit of wisdom,

If you go to a manufacturers website you can usually get the maximum cooler and gfx card clearance dimensions.

Doh! Why didn't i think of that! Thanks for the link and your time ;)

A waterloop is way more than £70 though! The GPU block alone is £70.

I'm using Precision with a custom fan curve. But there comes a time when you must sacrifice heat for sheer loud ass fans buzzing in your ears :)

The case is there merely because i want it. I have several case fans now. Nice and tidy cable management to. So airflow isnt a problem. Its just a really cheap poor case i have right now tbh. Maybe il just buy the case for now, and re-think the cooling situation.

Thanks for the help! very much appreciated :)

EDIT: Maybe i should re-think my choices here. Its good to have people in the know at times!

A watercooling loop will be more than £70, that's for sure, though I would say that you'd get more value for your money, especially if you went for a universal GPU block, and if you went second hand. You can save considerable monies by going second hand for watercooling parts.
