Hi all, I'm soon to delve into a new upgrade and after many pages read on wether i should get i5 or i7 i've hopefully settled on an i5.

My question is though seeing how so many people are overclocking this cpu and said to be easy is the equipment i'm getting right for the job.

The reviews for the motherboard seem sound but as i'm not really experienced with tweeking voltages and such manually, i've only ever tried the bios's overclocking percentages choice and that didnt work well.

My aims would be to clock it from 3.30 to 4.50.

The motherboard is; Asus P8Z68-V GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Ram: 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU)
Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366)

Thank you to whoever reads and helps and a continued thank you to all those who keep helping me in this struggle for a perfect upgrade.

if you going for the i5 make sure you get the 2500k
the Asus P8Z68-V GEN3 Intel Z68 is a good one.you could use the auto tune which should give you around anything from 4.4-4.6 whith a click.but most people manual oc.
the best thing to do is wait till you got all items and installed then come back and then am sure most people will help you.
with this chip if you got a good one can reach well into 5.0+ but this also depends on a good cooler aswell.
