A little while ago i as for some help to spce me a gaming pc for about £400 and i got a reply and some gr8 help (thank you). but now xmas is so close i have been told by the wife i'm not aloud to spend that much money.
So i was thinking instead of a new mobo, cpu and ram how about a new cpu for my mobo and new ram (ddr3) and maybe new psu but i don't know what type of cpu to get i know it can take upto an amd Phenom II X6 6-Core but i don't know what type to get, here is a link of my mobo:

if someone one could point me in the right place of getting the thr right CPU that could be gr8 :), I knw my bios version is 1.30p if that helps.

for ram i would get this:

any help would be gr8, thank you :)

There is not a huge gain in going from DDR2 to DDR3 in anything other than benchmarks.

If your CPU unlocked can you try relocking a single core to give you a tri? This has become fairly common on a number of boards butI'm not sure the asrock support it. That would open up an extra core and the cache.

Your board does not support HT3 iirc so gettng a top end CPU may cause it to become a little limited. What is the rest of your system; if you are playing at high res you may be best off with a better GPU. Are you currently having problems with your rig? It may be better to hold off and bank the cash.

My current rig is an amd athlon 5000dual core, 3ghz, 4gb ddr2 pc6400 800mhz CL5 1.8v and my graphic card is ati HD5850 1gb. 1.5tb hdd,160gb hdd (both sata's)
I can unlock the cpu to amd Phenom II fx 5000 quad core but its so unstable so i have to take it back.
hope that helps
Or
should i got for a new mobo, cpu and ram but i will have to wait til january.

Do not skimp on the psu. The OCUK range are cheap for a reason. Buy a quality brand one such as Seasonic, Corsair (not the builder range), XFX (rebranded Seasonic's) etc. Cheap psu's will never deliver their stated output, have weak rails, are built with cheap components and are very likley to take out other components when they fail.
