So still hunting for a tv. 1-1.5k budget for the right set. bigger the better. don't want a projector (the wife says) had settled on a Sony XR75X90J but have also seen that Sharp are releasing the EQ series 120hz HDMI 2.1 in Jan, and also seen some good deals on TCL sets (75C815K) which seems to be popular around Europe, not 120hz nor HDMI 2.1 but I am not an FPS gamer so do I really need this? of course future proofing is a big deal to me but... I'll only watch movies and tv and play the odd game of fifa on a Series S. Thoughts on what I should go for?
for reference, believe the Sony is around 1799 at the moment (currys) TCL is 999 (AO) and of course Sharp isn't out yet. I did try looking at Rtings for the TCL but couldn't find it, I know a lot of their products are american so can't really compare.
Also, the KE75XH9005PBU is available at 1699 which I'm led to believe that despite being the predecessor to the X90J, is a better set.
