Sorry as someone who works in retail I think its inconsiderate... dunno why she had to make a big deal about it tho, we'd have probably let it go. Due to the number of times staff have been assaulted by members of the public over seemingly small issues we'd rather have CCTV evidence we can use to prosecute :S

ditto. Surely taking the helmet off for a bit of fresh air is better anyway?

I had a similar problem in the bank just the other day. There I was, innocently enjoying my newfound love of wearing stockings over my face, and without a word, all the staff start freaking out at me!

Bloody idiots, why can't they let me do as I please? :mad:

I guess I can understand why this is such a pain, but I guess some shop workers may feel intimidated by someone wearing a helmet, not saying thats the riders fault but if you could defuse that possible situation then why would n't you?

But to the OP it sounds like she was rude in the way you were asked to remove your lid, so I would have fought my corner also.
