Skip to around 1 minute mark and sorry for the sweary.

There's no reason for the blue Merc in front to stop, they didn't slam the brakes so is it the fault of the driver behind me?

There doesn't look like too much damage to my car but it felt I was hit quite hard.

From this photo, any guesses on what make of car hit my car?

he ran into you but you were very delayed in your braking resulting in a heavy brake from yourself.

still his fault though.

Car behind.

That blue Mercedes was being way completely and unnecessarily over cautious, but I think they did it because they didn't want to "squeeze" past before the road separated into two lanes.

You could have stopped and had a quick one off the wrist in the time it took you to stop! but yes guy behinds fault.

I don't think you're at all at fault, you might get people remark on how late/heavy your braking was but that's irrelevant - the car behind was either not paying attention or did not leave enough space, end of. They should have seen they were approaching a queue of cars and been prepared to stop, they clearly weren't.

edit: just re-watched, I can only assume the Merc hit the brakes because technically it wasn't yet 2 lanes...uber cautious!

The guy who rear ended you will get the blame for this 100%. It will be open and shut for the insurer. They will say he was either to close or not paying attention.

Not sure why the guy in front stopped though...

Wtf was the Merc doing? It's still the driver behind you at fault as he did not react in time simple as. Insurance will be 100% in you favour.
How's your neck OP? :p
