OMG, is this the best game ever made or what???
started playing it, 3 hours later....
soooooooo much fun, done bout 35 % of it at the mo, absoloutely love it
Those mine levels rule!
what dopes everyone else think?

Yeah I love it, really good classic platformer. Loved playing through it years ago and enjoyed it just as much when I played through it last year too :D

Was donkey kong not a N64 game? (obviously not the original).

Or are you talking about Donkey Kong Country? The first one was great and quite original, i loved the shooting out the barrels bit, but i think they ripped the bum out of it a bit with the sequels which seemed to come so soon after.

DKC is one of my all time favourite games and probably the best Christmas present ever for filling a dull Christmas day :D

The minecart sequences, the swimming with the swordfish, the rhino :D I'll have to get a scart lead for my SNES and hook it up.

wasnt it about £70-80 at release? Awesome game tho! i have it on a genuine console

I don't think so. I think it came after the time of extreme prices on the SNES. Think my younger bro got it for his b'day, so I doubt it was more than £50

I think it was about the same price as a normal snes game, about £45

It was certainly one of the best looking SNES games I can remember, and great fun, although those cart tracks nearly made me tear my hair out at times :p

DKC and Diddy Kongs Quest were superb. The third one was pushing it a bit though.

Quite amazing pre-rendered graphics. :)

I though DKC was more expensive than a normal Snes as it was the largest size cart ever made?? Thought it was 59.99 could be wrong though - still a good game - heh the barrels is quite nifty :)

I think Ogre Battle or something was the largest cart. DKC was only 32mbit which is 4MB. I believe the price was £59.99, which was normal for the premium SNES games like DKC and the Street Fighter II series... it might have even been £54.99 actually.

The saved game files were still on it when I bought it from you so thanks, that saved me struggling through some of it lol, but I have played it through from the start, i think at about 50% so far, erp.

I love the snes, it's truly a great console, one to be remembered!
