So yesterday I was working in the kitchen of the pub I work and started to feel really ill. Was supposed to be working today, but had to go to the doctors first, apparently I have bacterial gastroenteritis! (pooing lots with a fever).

Anyway I was looking forward to my next week of work as I was finally doing a decent amount of hours, 50ish, and was looking forward to my paycheck, little bit upset about having to now spend the week off of work. I also rather concerned because apparently what I had is spread by hands and touching, and I just went and cooked 100 or so meals last night... I am very vigilant with washing my hands but I think I may have potentially infected a lot of people including the staff who were working!

Anyway yeah, now got a week off of work, and dont know how to fill my time! Lots of OCUK time I guess :o

Start your novel ;)

Ahh brilliant idea! That would certainly keep me busy! My stomach crampings arent as bad when I am sitting down so being at a computer is probably a good idea! I work at a wetherspoons so if I have made anyone ill its probably no different from just drinking the beer there!

Yeah that was what I thought, just this time it may be seriously ill... Kinda the same kind of ill you are after drinking the beer while eating your meal :D

So as of tomorrow I start my novel, yay exciting! Today I am going to just rest and chill!

Feel really sorry for my manager, he as a favour gave me like 50 hours this week and I had to go tell him I couldnt work anything. He was very concerned about me though, but then realised he had to arrange all the hours at the pub! Poor him! Mind you on the other hand he wouldnt let me go home early last night! :o

I fear for my social life if I get that game! I am currently aquiring Lost Season 2 so I will be watching that for sure!

Unlucky, it's a horrible thing to have :(

I had it in dirty kavos a couple of years ago, didn't eat for a week while I was there - drank **** loads though :D

Hate to say it but by stomach etc have never been the same since. :( Bit of irratable bowl syndrome etc

Well I hope I am going to be okay after this, its horrible not being able to eat, I am so hungry but the doctor said I cant eat... He told me to drink water and flat lemonade or coke to keep up my sugar level... eww flat coke :(

Well after abstaining from eating for a whole day (by the way guys I LOVE FOOD) I went to my GP today, they get me to send of a sample (NICE). Just before I leave the practice, they kindly inform me that I am not allowed to eat meat dairy products or infact anything than plain bread... They could have told me they would need to remove my testicles and I would have been happier!

Looking forward to?

Fill it with episodes of Lost, I would! :D

I am on my way to getting the second series at the moment so hopefully I can!

As for the comment about looking forward to work, yes I am one of the fortunate types who enjoys my jobs! I dont mind putting in the hours to get the extra money! It keeps me entertained and occupied and can be fun depending on who is working!

Been up all night with horrible stomach cramps and passing blood :( Going back to the doctors today, dont know whats wrong with me, but I think I am having a baby prematurely...

What worries me is the blatant lack of public health concern from you or the company you work for - infecting 100 people (potentially) is VERY serious and not really a laughing matter.

I am VERY concerned actually, having managed the bar I am working in before my travels to australia, I feel like it is home for me. I had told the new owner of the pub what I have is contageous, and as he has said there is no way of proving anything until we get my 'sample' back. Which is true, and if my sample comes back with what is thought I have then a health warning will be put out, by the local health authority and by my pub. What can they seriously do other than bin the food I handled and otherwise make sure everything is cleaned. As of yet, no-one else has fallen ill, probably due to how vigilant I am with cleaning my hands (slight OCD thing I have with being in the kitchen, wash them everytime I touch something pretty much). I have no other way I can react right now other than try to laugh at everything, I am in a lot of pain and pretty miserable. I am only up a few hours during the day, where I dont have any energey, then awake all night with stomach cramps. Trying to make a serious situation into a light hearted one is not a bad thing I dont believe, especially considering everything else has been done.
