Passed my theory this morning and got straight on to booking my mod 1.

Its booked for wednesday and i will be doing it on my cagiva mito which has a turning circle of... a sports bike!

So other than get over the shock of just a 5 day wait compared to like 2 months for my car test, anyone got any tips for me? I've been riding for 2 and a half years and im pretty confident, just the U turn thats putting me off

Is your mitto legal for a learner? I only ask as when i did my part 2 test years ago i tried doing it on my DT 125 that wasn't err shall we say stock.

The test bloke said (not examiner) i couldn't take the test on my bike as he could tell it wasn't legal.

I ended up hiring an nsr from the training school to do it on, the u turn was ok so don't worrie:)

Good luck with it

Heh... no my bikes not exactly learner "legal" just been looking around for a number to ring and ask but i cant find nothing, guess ill just turn up and see what they say.

Did you hire the nsr there and then?

Worse thing that can happen is i lose out on my fee i guess :(

I was lucky as it was the bloke who i did my part 1 with that said "it would be a fail" and that the examiner would halt the test.

I was on a 3 day course so just hired one there an then, this was a long time ago though so i don't know how hot they are on it now.

They let me do my part one on the DT, it would be a shame to have to rebook it though wouldn't it, give the training school a call and see what they say.

Passed with 1 minor for locking up the back wheel on the e stop, no training and 1st go

cant wait to do mod 2 :)

you wont do a u turn on that bike that ill guarantee you!!!

cant beat a trail bike,i did mine on the training schools beat up honda mx125

good luck anyway

yeah i saw as i posted, must have been a wide road cos i owned a mito and the turning circle was like a barge

Just practice riding as slow as possible etc is all I can think of. I'm gonna book mine tonight, passed my theory today, ecstatic haha! :D

Hold on, a minor for a lock up on e stop? i thought that was an auto fail, that's what camriders told me?

My instructor told me a minor lock up that is released & under control is allowed but it does depend on the instructor so he said "DON'T LOCK UP YOU ****" + :p

"Its not locking up sir, im backing it in"

^ This :)

But no i let off the back as soon as it locked up so i might have just got lucky or had a nice examiner, either way im not going to argue with a pass
