Motherboard (chipset) driver?

Audio driver?

Graphics driver?

USB 3.0 driver?

LAN drivers?

Windows updates?

Slightly jacking the thread but how important is it to update bios? Just reformatted today and I haven't updated the bios, just used whats on the CD?

I don't think it's too important to update the BIOS, unless of course you're experiencing issues with your motherboard, then an update may fix that. BIOS updates may also improve stability and performance with certain hardware.

might want to let thermal paste burn in a bit before really hard pushing the cpu to its max, go for mild overclock to start with, and leave the 5ghz screenshots for at least a week :)

There are NO bios updates yet for this board

if you have a SSD, attach only this first and set ACPI in bios

1. Install windows 64 bit
2. Install chipset and vga drivers
3. Run WEI then restart
4. Let windows cycle through power saving options
5. Install remaining drivers and windows updates
6. Install discreet gpu and drivers
7. Test for stability and allow a few days for it to bed in and any bugs to show up
8. Overclock the nuts off it :D

thanks very much davefran

moved things around on satas as things wouldnt show up then windows 7 being a pain so installing xp to get it running

then will try the windows7 upgrade later
