Just went out and picked up a Cold Cathode Lamp. It is basically a cold cathode lamp that has a wire ending in a 3 pin female.
Now i have on my motherboard 2 available places that i can it into and they are labelled AUX FAN3 and AUX FAN4. My question is it save to plug the lamp into one of these sockets as i dont want to fry my motherboard.
On the back of the cathode packaging it says in red "Please don't connect our CCFL wire with other's wire harness (inverter) in case of short circuit or damage."
Thanks in advance.
