Just bought a mac mini !!

Got a mac mini off the bay, 1.6 ghz dual core, 2gb ram so pleased with that.

I've seen about CPU upgrades and people seem to put in t7200's, and then various people have put in ssd drives for the maximum levels of performance !

Basically all I'll be using it for is a desktop machine, I'll put on office and use it for web browsing, iTunes and on the odd occasion some very very basic video editing from my minidv camcorder after track days.

Is there any point doing these upgrades?

I think it was 281 delivered so I'm happy with that. Seller has told me that she can't get to the post office due to snow though so she's bringing it to London for me (y)

Just search mac mini CPU upgrade on google, looks drop in drop out to me !

Is it only t series CPUs that can go in ? I have a spare 2.66 wolfdale ....

80 quid for a t series cpu? sod that!!

At most, I was going to consider 30-40 quid.. Won't be doing that then

Jamal - Completely agree with regards to the costing, if I could have got the cpu cheap I would have done it, wont bother now

I'm getting the mac mini as my 'desktop' pc, in my bedroom, and then I'll have the apple tv in the lounge
