Hi, just bought a Manfrotto 055 Xprob Tripod, with 804RC2 head and manfrotto tripod bag from a seller on that 'auction site'.

Seller listed as in perfect condition etc.

Just arrived and yes it is in perfect condition. Apart from 2 of the shafts on the head have a slight bend (45*degree ish) on them. This seems weird to me as the bottom shaft is straight. I would have thought they all would have been straight. Makes it a bit odd when you turn the 2 bent handles.

Is this normal? Just had a look at various photo's on the web of this head and they seem to be straight.

This is my 1st proper tripod. Other than that. Very happy with it.

Just wondered if anyone on here has that head and can confirm if they should be bent or straight.

Thank you

maybe there is a aftermarket shaft, but the big plastic handles still say Manfrotto on them.

Doesnt look like they have been bent with tools etc, as no obvious signs of marks on the shaft. Just was not sure if they were supposed to be bent or not.

Straight to me would make more sense to me.

I shall live with it. Can always straighten them I guess if put them in a vice.

**** Does not matter now. Managed to straighten them easily myself. All straight as a arrow now. Maybe they just got knocked at some point.
Fine now.

Yes I am happy with it. I paid £120 including delivery. Which I think is not a bad price for something which will last a long time.
