As the title says, for my birthday I've managed to get myself a Lian LI PC-A71B, for anyone unfamiliar with this case:

After looking around the forums and other modding sites, I've not seen anyone really mod this case, and so Im a little short of ideas.

I'm pretty set on the square window panel W-75B

And would eventually add water cooling, with a 120.3 radiator in the top panel, with the fan cutouts etc.

Are there any good mods people can show me that I may have missed? Or any pictures of what you guys have done with your 71's.

In summary, i'm looking for classy, sleek mod examples of this case, any links or ideas are welcome :D

Thanks

B

True, I want keep any mods or changes discreet and in the style of the case, but i'd still like to make it a bit more personal and add my own touches to it. Which is why im looking for others examples to show me what could work, or perhaps what to avoid.

id mod it

go for it :D

personally i think you should consider a dark side panel, sort of a black tint to it but you can still see through it if you know what i mean. would look very nice i think. just plain clear seems to be abit out of place on that case.

Im obviously nervous about modding it, this is my first Lian Li and I want it to last! I like the idea of a dark tint to the window, shouldnt be to hard to remove the plexi from the side panel, might have some trouble neatly tinting it though? What colour do you think would work best? UV, Red, Blue, Purple?

Surely im not the first to mod a PC 71? I'm finding it really hard to source any professional mods/projects/build logs around this case :(

Tint it so you could see any LEDs through it? :)

The only thing I'd think of adding to a case like that is maybe having something etched or engraved on the front panel, just to add that hint of custom detail, yet keep the plain and minimalist look. I'm not really a fan of big windows or funky lights though.

PK!
